Hi there !
I would like to share an article called "More Salep, Please" with you.
As you know Salep is made from salep flour which obtained from grinding the dried tubers of some ovoidal shaped orchids (e.g. Orchis, Anacamptis, Ophrys, Serapias, Himantoglossum, Barlia) which contain a nutritious starch-like polysaccharide called glucomannan.
In my thesis of master of science I' ve described details of salep (I will translate and share a.s.a.p.). But I can say briefly Salep is good for gastrointestinal diseases, high fever, unrest situations. And also salep extracts are use for stomach and liver cancers and use like an agent to prevent coagulation.
For these benefits of orchids, some of Orchids which is used in salep are endangered in wild. So please find the link below and read it carefully.
Waiting for your discussion.
See you all.
